Gabriel Guerra

I'm a product-minded full-cycle developer. I work on the backend of a high-traffic consumer platform, and I'm the founder of Teddy Code, a mobile studio with two apps live on Google Play. I like building end to end (product, design, mobile, backend, and store release), so decisions stay aligned from user value all the way to production.

At the company I currently work for, I own key backend initiatives in Django and modern web tooling (HTMX, WebSockets), running on Docker with AWS S3. I built a notification system end to end, added discovery filters to improve match relevance, and designed an A/B testing system validated against real production traffic.

That A/B work taught me something I carry into every decision: we once shipped a free feature that made users happier but quietly hurt revenue, a clear reminder that "users happy" is not the same as "business healthy". I also work across the full customer journey, reducing friction in support flows and shipping marketing landing pages for acquisition.

Before software I spent 12+ years in finance, several of them leading teams. That gives me a business lens and the calm to communicate clearly and pick my battles. I lean on AI for momentum and learning but keep my own judgment for anything load bearing, and I do my best work from a good code review, not from defending a first draft.
