I teach accounting and finance at Durham University Business School, where I lead undergraduate programmes and teach management accounting, strategic management accounting, financial planning and control, and dissertations. My research examines how institutions shape corporate governance, sustainability reporting, corporate social responsibility, and organisational resilience, particularly in emerging economies.
I've previously taught at Leeds University Business School and Newcastle Business School, supervised undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral research, and published widely in journals including Business & Society, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Accounting Forum, and Journal of Business Ethics. I bring professional experience from Oxfam, Oceanic Bank, and KPMG alongside fellowships with ACCA, HEA, ICAN, and CIBN.
