Francesca Demarinis

As a passionate sociocultural worker and writer, I hold a Master of Science in Social Studies of Gender from Lund University. My academic journey has been deeply rooted in exploring the intersections of gender, policy, and social justice. My thesis, 'Mai Mamma,' is an ethnographic study that delves into the experiences of mothers from Puglia, highlighting their perceptions of care work. This work reflects my commitment to understanding and advocating for gender equality and diversity.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I have gained practical experience in various roles, including as a Client Support Officer at Inkonst, where I manage ticketing processes and oversee operations during cultural events. My role as a mentor at Smålands Nation has allowed me to support newcomers and foster community engagement. I have also contributed to research projects at prestigious institutions like KU Leuven and Sapienza Università di Roma, where I focused on topics such as work-related stress and the experiences of transgender individuals. My diverse skill set includes qualitative research, academic writing, and policy analysis, which I leverage to create impactful narratives and promote sociocultural awareness.
