What I'm looking for

I seek roles that allow me to lead translational infectious disease and immunometabolism research, mentor teams, and develop preclinical therapeutics in collaborative, cross-disciplinary environments.

I am a biologist with over 18 years of experience specializing in immunology, toxicology, infectious disease, and metabolism research. I focus on host–pathogen interactions, macrophage biology, and translational preclinical model development to drive therapeutic strategies from discovery to application.

At NIAID Rocky Mountain Laboratories I serve as a research scientist and subject-matter expert in central metabolism, leading projects on immune–metabolic crosstalk in macrophages and directing translational studies that test immunometabolism-based interventions. I have extensive BSL3/ABSL3 experience with bacterial and viral pathogens and with inhaled toxicants, including novel nanomaterials.

I have a strong track record of mentoring trainees, leading cross-functional collaborations, and communicating findings through manuscripts and invited talks. My work has identified metabolic drivers of lung disease pathogenesis and produced targeted metabolic interventions that limit intracellular bacterial replication and improve outcomes in preclinical models.

I bring expertise in immunology assay development, metabolomics, cellular and systems bioenergetics, and preclinical study design, coupled with proven leadership in SOP development for high-containment labs and mentorship of early-career scientists.
