Fiona Nugent

I am a dedicated college student pursuing an Associate in Science degree with a clear goal of working in a surgical field. I approach my studies with an open mind, strive to exceed in each course, and engage with classmates despite studying online.

I have hands-on healthcare experience assisting optometrists: performing quality eye exams, diagnostic testing, measuring visual acuity, contact lens insertion and removal, managing exam room supplies, and maintaining patient records with familiarity in EHR management.

My work experience in customer-facing roles taught me time management, multitasking, communication, sanitization, teamwork, and working well under pressure. I scheduled orders, educated customers on promotions, and maintained safe food-prep operations while upholding cleanliness and safety procedures.

I volunteer with children, mentored students with learning disabilities, and supported community efforts like care bags for the homeless. I am fluent in English, familiar with some Spanish, and passionate about continuing healthcare education, especially around dental health and skincare.
