I built and currently run Fiuto, a personal project used by a used-car dealership in Pavia province. It monitors two listing portals and sends Telegram alerts when a new car is priced below comparable listings; it has run in production on a Linux VPS for 84 consecutive days without an unintended interruption.
The hard part was evaluating prices, so I tested the estimates against known cases and measured a median error of 11% across 14,141 predictions. I also verified that flagged listings disappeared from the market in their first week more often than listings the system rejected, while making clear that “disappeared” doesn’t mean “sold.”
