Euan Mcfarlane

I’m a Laboratory Technician focused on performing a range of analyses on nuclear materials, including XRF, mass spectrometry, trace analysis via ICP-mass spectrometry, and LECO analysis for carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen. I handle sample dissolution and sample handling as part of day-to-day lab work, and I’m comfortable working with laboratory instrumentation such as balances, pipettes, and mass spectrometers through calibration activities.

I take quality seriously: I’ve participated in external, internal, and self-audits, and I’m trained in quality systems including ISO 9001 and ISO 17205, as well as working with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems). Alongside my lab background, I bring administrative support experience from an Administration assistant role, and I’m motivated by structured, standards-driven work that supports accurate results, safe handling, and continuous improvement.
