At the Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research, I contributed qualitative analysis, thematic development and evidence synthesis for a Fatal Accident Inquiry research project on court proceedings and institutional processes.
I produced structured analytical outputs on accountability, systemic and epistemic injustice, and implications for policy and practice. I also supported multidisciplinary workshop planning and engagement with justice, health and third-sector partners.
My research practice includes qualitative interviewing, thematic and narrative analysis, systematic reviews, meta-analysis and mixed-methods research. My MSc dissertation examined practitioner perspectives on youth violence and drug-related harm in Scotland, and my MA dissertation reviewed cannabis liberalisation and youth substance use in high-income countries.
I use NVivo, RStudio and EndNote for research and analysis, and have additional experience coordinating training programmes and implementing SharePoint-based processes. I was shortlisted for an SGSSS-funded PhD studentship at the University of Strathclyde examining the legal, political and social context of Scotland’s first Safer Drug Consumption Facility.
