I’m a Certified Professional Coder and Health Information Analyst with experience in fast-paced, compliance-driven healthcare environments. From 4/2018 to the present (Forrest Health) and 10/2023 to the present (Oxford Global Solutions), I’m responsible for coding Orthopedics, Behavioral Health, and OB-GYN records, and I’ve also coded Primary Care, Cardiology, and a Residency Program with a 95% accuracy rate. I clarify and resolve diagnoses with conflicting, missing, or unclear information by consulting with providers, and I accurately follow coding guidelines and legal requirements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Previously, as a Data Integrity Analyst (Merit HealthWesley) from 1/1998 to 7/31/2024, I focused on chart completion of deficiencies in the medical record. I regularly consulted with medical staff and other personnel to support requests related to patient records requiring my understanding of complex medical terminology, helped the HIM Department during staffing shortages or high volumes, and maintained confidentiality and protected sensitive data. I also performed scanning and uploading of documents into electronic charts to keep medical records complete and audit-ready.
