HCPC-certified Medical Laboratory Scientist delivering accurate haematology, microbiology, chemical-pathology, and histology results.
What I'm looking for
I’m an HCPC certified Medical Laboratory Scientist with MLSCN credentials, built on multi-disciplinary laboratory experience across Haematology and Blood Transfusion, Chemical-pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology. I also have well-rounded expertise in Histology and Cytology, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy in highly regulated environments.
I apply laboratory management practices by implementing GLP/GMP to maintain standards of quality in results. I’m an analytical problem-solver who executes experiments and investigations, advances incident investigations, and prepares in-depth reports, while managing changing workloads with high accuracy.
In my current role at the Federal Ministry of Works Staff Clinic (2021–Present), I perform wide-ranging manual and automated Haematology tests and facilitate blood transfusions—managing blood serology for grouping, cross-match and compatibility testing prior to transfusion. I also conduct serology tests (Hepatitis A, B, C and D; HIV/AIDs), culture organisms and run antimicrobial sensitivity tests, and process and analyse semen with media preparation and quality assessment of reagents.
I strengthened my foundation through impactful public health and research work, including the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as a Volunteer–POI Monitoring & Surveillance Team member (2020–2021), and data collection/research support with AFRYPOD (2017–2019). Earlier, at Stephen Diagnostics and in clinical placements (including HIV/AIDS clinic oversight during NYSC), I developed end-to-end diagnostic competence—from phlebotomy and specimen handling to culture/identification and clinical chemistry testing—while consistently producing results in accordance with SOPs.
