EMILY THOMAS

After taking an eight-year break to raise my four children, I am eager to re-enter the workforce and apply my skills in a professional setting. My previous experience as a nursery nurse has equipped me with strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. I have a passion for nurturing and educating young children, ensuring their individual needs are met through creative activities and structured routines.

In my previous roles, I was responsible for planning activities for babies and toddlers, serving as a keyworker, and even taking on leadership responsibilities as a Senior Nursery Nurse. I have a solid educational background, having completed a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years with Triple Merit, and a CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Child Care with Distinction. My experience has also included freelance copy typing work, which I find enjoyable and fulfilling.

In addition to my professional skills, I have developed a strong social media presence through my small business ventures, including selling wax melts and Sweet Cones. I currently volunteer as a reading listener at my children's school, which allows me to stay connected with the educational environment and continue fostering my love for teaching and learning.
