What I'm looking for

I'm looking to build practical AI, machine learning, backend, and data systems that solve real operational problems, with opportunities to ship reliable products, deepen my technical skills, and contribute to meaningful work.

I've built internal systems at National Bank of Malawi, including an employee ID-card design and printing application that replaced a crash-prone process unchanged for more than six years. I also automated workstation provisioning and proposed a disk-sanitization process adopted as the bank standard.

I'm the sole developer and architect of Mthandizi, a WhatsApp AI chatbot supporting frontline health workers with disease-surveillance guidance in English and Chichewa across 45 conditions and nine districts. I built its RAG pipeline, Node.js/Fastify and PostgreSQL backend, and OWASP-hardened WhatsApp Cloud API integration.

My MEng research developed an improved U-Net with a ResNet-101 backbone for off-road path detection, achieving approximately 90% pixel accuracy. I've also built AI meeting summarization and algorithmic trading systems using Python, React, TypeScript, MQL5, and VPS deployment.

Built an in-house app for designing and printing employee ID cards using Python, PySide6/Qt6, and SQLite, replacing a crash-prone multi-tool process. Automated new-workstation provisioning with a PowerShell/WPF tool and proposed a faster disk-sanitization method adopted as the bank's standard.
