I’m a B.Sc. (Hons with Research) Biochemistry candidate at Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi, and my dissertation work focuses on network pharmacology for a Medhya Rasayana formulation in Alzheimer’s disease.
For my dissertation, I compiled 35 bioactive compounds from 4 medicinal herbs through structured literature review (PubMed, Google Scholar, IMPPAT), then predicted molecular targets using SwissTargetPrediction.
I cross-referenced predicted targets with 234 Alzheimer’s disease-associated genes from DisGeNET, identified overlapping and literature-supported targets, and built a protein-protein interaction network in STRING.
I also constructed a compound-target-pathway network in Cytoscape, used CytoHubba to identify hub genes (including APP, BACE1, PSEN1, and MAPT), and previously interned by reviewing polyacrylate-based nanomaterials and summarizing findings into structured reports.
