Doug Miller
@dougmiller
I teach middle-school science through real-world lessons, STEM activities, and student-centered materials.
What I'm looking for
I'm teaching 6th Grade Earth and Life Science at Quincy Middle School, creating memorable real-world lessons, new learning materials, guest-expert experiences, and STEM activities alongside the Amplify Curriculum.
Before moving into education, I supported cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital and Bronson Battle Creek. I educated patients on heart health, developed exercise prescriptions, monitored vital signs and heart rhythms, and supported stress testing and cardiac rehabilitation safety.
I've also worked across laboratory, emergency department, and nursing settings, contributing to patient flow, blood-work processing, patient support, and safe daily care.
My background combines health fitness, preventative and rehabilitative programs, cardiac care, and secondary science education. I bring practical health-science experience into lessons that help students connect classroom concepts to the real world.
