I’m looking for a remote-friendly team where I can build secure distributed backends with Kotlin/Java, event-driven REST APIs, and production-grade AI integrations—owning features end to end.

I’m a Backend Software Engineer with 2+ years of experience building distributed systems and RESTful APIs in Kotlin and Java. I specialise in event-driven architecture and Spring Boot, with a strong focus on secure, production-grade delivery.

In my recent freelance work, I architect secure RESTful APIs using event-driven and monolithic patterns with Spring Boot 4.0 and Spring Security 6.0, while integrating with an Angular frontend for end-to-end feature delivery. I also integrate AI capabilities into business workflows with Spring AI 1.0, prioritising scalability and robustness.

Previously at kopiLeft Services, I engineered RESTful and SOAP APIs for a B2B retail management platform across multi-site deployments. I built near real-time inventory and sales data synchronisation with RabbitMQ, wrote comprehensive JUnit 5/Mockito unit and integration tests that resolved 40+ bugs pre-production, and led backend dependency/version migrations that reduced Gradle build time by ~25%. I’m motivated by systems that are reliable, observable, and maintainable—and I enjoy pushing engineering quality through CI/CD improvements and thoughtful architecture.
