Deepali Sharma
@deepalisharma4
I build AI, machine learning, and HPC systems for data-intensive scientific and analytical work.
What I'm looking for
I've built data-intensive analytical systems, machine learning solutions, and large-scale scientific computing workflows across research and applied projects.
At Georgia State University, I analyzed terabyte-scale detector R&D data from Jefferson Lab and built automated HPC pipelines on Slurm clusters, including a daily cosmic-ray monitoring system. My work was published in NIM A (2024) and JGR Space Physics (2023).
Previously at Stony Brook University, I led PHENIX analyses processing petabytes of heavy-ion collision data, developed statistical models for rare physics signatures, and built distributed HPC pipelines on the BNL Condor cluster. I also build practical AI projects, including a citation-grounded physics RAG system, financial-reporting automation, image classifiers, and forecasting pipelines.

Research Scientist
Georgia State University
Jan 2020 - Sep 2023 (3 years 8 months)
Analyzed terabyte-scale detector R&D datasets for the future Electron-Ion Collider experiment, publishing as first author in NIM A (2024). Built automated HPC pipelines on Slurm clusters and deployed a daily cosmic-ray monitoring system published in JGR Space Physics (2023).
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Stony Brook University
Jun 2011 - Jun 2017 (6 years)
Led PHENIX analyses processing petabytes of heavy-ion collision data, contributing to Nature Physics (2019) and multiple publications. Developed statistical models and distributed HPC pipelines, and commissioned a large-scale photosensitive GEM detector while mentoring graduate students.
