Dawn Ballon

I joined Igloo's Marketing team as Marketing Coordinator, I became the all around marketer. I supported all Marketing managers with their initiatives and supported all campaign types. I supported monthly webinars and lead 10+ events and trade shows, including developing landing pages, managing attendee lists and staffing, and e-mail communication with internal staff, vendors and attendees.

I was selected to become an Instructional Assistant after excelling in a Media History course. I taught first year students for two semesters, teaching a class of 30 students. I led weekly tutorial-style classes, marked assignments and mentored students.

I joined the Development team as Marketing and Communications Assistant and supported the Marketing and Communications Specialist. In that role, I interviewed program participants and documented their stories for blogs, newsletters and social media.

I joined the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion department as a Research Assistant. I created an annotated bibliography of 30 sources surrounding the barriers faced by women, minorities, Indigenous people and persons with disabilities for students and faculty to use as resources to promote equity, diversity and inclusion at Wilfrid Laurier University.
