Co-founded Binary River, a startup giving independent retailers their own fully branded native iOS and Android shopping app, with no marketplace commission and customer data owned by the shop. Building a three-app ecosystem with real-time order sync, Apple Pay/Google Pay, click-and-collect, and delivery workflows.

Leading the refactor of a large, single-module Android codebase into a multi-module architecture, reducing coupling between features and enabling independent build and test. Partnering with product, design, and QA to ship performance-driven features into a live, high-traffic betting platform.

Built an in-app advertising and push notification SDK adopted by major sporting organizations, integrated for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and used by clients including La Liga and the Mumbai Indians. Delivered the SDK reliably through high-profile, high-traffic events and supported client-side integration.

Built NFC-based security applications for the oil and gas sector, supporting access control and operational security in high-stakes industrial environments. Worked closely with backend engineers and QA to design and implement new features against Clean Architecture and MVVM patterns.

Developed connected-vehicle data platforms powering usage-based insurance and mobility products, processing telematics data from beacons, Bluetooth, and location services. Collaborated with developers across the UK and Canada to design a shared trip-detection SDK and migrated legacy applications from Xamarin to native Kotlin/Java.

Delivered employee engagement apps for telecom and civil engineering clients, owning the full lifecycle from design through build, test, deployment, and support. Worked with product owners to take features from concept to completion, using Websockets and Firebase Cloud Messaging for real-time updates.

Built Android apps for high-profile clients including well-known high street restaurant chains and professional football and rugby clubs. Modernised older projects to current Android coding standards and owned the full app lifecycle from concept to Play Store support.

Design and build websites for small businesses alongside full-time role, taking projects from brief through to launch. Built faulknerbutchery.com, the website for an independent butcher in Slane, Co. Meath, showcasing the shop and driving customers to download the shop's app.
