At AmaIA, I build and maintain a companion service for older adults living alone, developed with a partner and now in production in real homes. It connects a voice device in the home with a web app for family members.
I work on the Python and FastAPI backend and the Next.js, React, and TypeScript frontend. The Raspberry Pi device supports daily check-ins, medication reminders, and voice-captured requests, with SMS alerts to family.
For AmaIA, I use OpenAI models for speech transcription, analysis, and synthesis, with local text-to-speech as a fallback. I also handle continuous deployment to Render and Vercel, shipping updates to users without a maintenance window.
During my apprenticeship at Ayuntamiento de Mejorada del Campo, I built and delivered a desktop inventory application used daily by council staff. Earlier, at Keycoes Comunicaciones, I supported end-user computing, device repairs, and a local network rollout.
