Daniel Troendle

At BASF Digital Solutions, I lead enterprise-wide cross-domain data initiatives and manage teams across Data Platform, Business Intelligence, and Master Data Management. I own the operation of BASF AP's central Azure Databricks platform, enabling secure, scalable, governed data products across domains.

Previously at Markant Services International, I built and led a 20+ FTE organization spanning data science, analytics, platform engineering, governance, and business intelligence. I established enterprise governance capabilities, advanced a Data Mesh operating model, and accelerated adoption of AI agents and multi-agent systems for business-process automation.

Across BASF and Markant, I've delivered predictive solutions for retention, segmentation, forecasting, optimization, computer vision, and enterprise analytics. I've modernized technology landscapes with Azure Databricks, established MLOps standards, and connected business stakeholders, data scientists, and engineers around scalable analytical products.

My foundation is in scientific research at the University of Hamburg and CERN's CMS Experiment, where I coordinated international physics-analysis activities and led statistical analyses on petabyte-scale datasets. I bring that scientific rigor to data strategy, organizational design, platform modernization, governance, and AI transformation.
