What I'm looking for

I seek a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and offers opportunities for professional growth in bioinformatics and biotechnology.

I am a dedicated bioinformatics scientist with a strong background in molecular biology and computational techniques. Currently, I am working as a Research Assistant in a Ph.D. program focused on bacteriophages and foodborne pathogens. My experience includes setting up high-performance computing equipment to automate genomic characterization of NGS data and providing bioinformatics support for research projects targeting Salmonella and Listeria.

Previously, I formalized my self-taught bioinformatics skills while working at Phage Lab Chile SpA, where I was responsible for the genomic characterization of microbiological isolates. I developed algorithms and automated workflows that significantly reduced processing time for bioinformatics tasks. My academic journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence, as evidenced by my Academic Excellence Prize and leadership roles during my studies.
