Danielle Dykone
@danielledykone
I’m a classroom nurse and nursing student, delivering safe medically fragile care through clinical precision and compassion.
What I'm looking for
As a Classroom Nurse, I support medically fragile children through the ISC program, including G-Tube feedings, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and daily medically necessary routines. I take seizure precautions seriously and deliver both daily and emergency medication with a focus on patient safety and calm, dependable care. I also collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and parents.
I’m currently earning my Associates of Nursing at Portland Community College, and my clinical rotations strengthen the way I think and act at the bedside. I’ve completed rotations such as Medical Surgical, Oncology, Surgical, Unity Pediatric Behavioral Health, and Randall’s Day Treatment Unit, bringing strong academic performance alongside real-world clinical practice.
Before and alongside nursing, I coordinated diagnostic imaging workflows at Providence St. Vincent Hospital. I worked directly with doctors, communicated patient information and exam status, helped ensure prompt diagnostic imaging results, and supported patients in obtaining or sending medical records.
I also bring a long-term foundation in patient-centered support through my Respite Care work and caregiving experience. I’ve helped adults with disabilities live as independently as possible, created and facilitated a 26-week lesson plan, adjusted activities for individual growth, and assisted in training co-workers. I value continuous improvement—I’ve contributed to quality improvement and health promotion projects, and I’ve been recognized with “Success Factors” awarded at work.
