Led HSE for a 102MW / 413MWh utility-scale BESS EPC project from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out. Developed and implemented ISO-aligned HSE management systems, directed work permit processes, and managed multi-contractor HSE performance.

Managed client site HSE requirements for the construction of a 148MW Bo­lobe­du solar plant, including safety file compilation, contractor coordination, and regular HSE performance reporting. Coordinated work permits, daily safety staffing and housekeeping, and stakeholder and community HSE engagements.

Led end-to-end HSE management for bridge construction projects in line with South African Construction Regulations. Managed high-risk activities including piling, working over water, work-at-height, and lifting/crane operations, while driving permit-to-work, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Supported multiple wind farm projects by overseeing group SHEQ activities and ensuring legal and ISO-aligned management systems were implemented across sites. Managed safety culture programs, emergency response planning and mock drills, legal compliance audits, and incident investigations.

Advised on Quality, Health, Environmental and Safety (SHEQ) across multiple client sites and supported ISO 9001 and ISO 45001/14001 compliance. Implemented internal health and safety management systems and supported safety compliance across client operations and workshops. Managed fire and emergency audit requirements and supported ongoing environmental waste generating compliance, alongside security management activities including mock drills.

Managed safety for fuel storage tank construction from foundation through commissioning handover, including hydro testing, sandblasting, and painting activities. Ensured health, safety, and environmental management for large workforces and subcontractors, including permit processes and compliance audits.

Provided HSE leadership for De Beers Marine port-related engineering work, including compiling safety files, coordinating inductions, and drafting task-specific method statements. Supported permit applications, legal compliance audits, and incident investigations while driving daily safety statistics and toolbox talks.

Led on-site health and safety oversight for operational plant units and associated workshops, ensuring adherence to integrated management system requirements. Conducted workplace inspections and safety audits, supported legislative compliance, and delivered safety orientation and reporting against site KPIs.

Served as Senior HSE officer, coordinating inductions and safety training and maintaining systems to ensure legal compliance across the site. Managed dangerous goods/HAZMAT compliance, hazardous chemical controls (SDS/fire and first aid measures), incident investigation and corrective actions, and risk assessment/method statement drafting.

Provided health and safety leadership across multiple projects, including drafting client safety files, coordinating medical fitness requirements, and overseeing daily risk assessment processes. Managed toolbox talks, safety inspections and meetings, controlled product documentation (MSDS), equipment/lifting inspection schedules, and safety training and marine protocol awareness.

Managed safety on civil engineering works including compilation of safety files, traffic management, excavation safety controls, and daily operational register/checklist use. Operated as the traffic safety officer and supported required notifications and coordination with the Department of Labour.

Acted as turnaround safety watcher/coordinator and supported safety documentation and training for safety observers. Coordinated permit processes and ensured high-risk operations supported by safety watchers and active toolbox talk participation.

Supported junior HSE functions including ensuring hot/cold work permits were in place and performing pre-task hazard identification and verification of controls. Conducted permit and equipment checks, supported safety documentation, incident investigation follow-up, and emergency drill readiness, while drafting risk assessments and method statements.

HSE bachelor’s degree at NQF Level 7, in process with graduation expected in May 2026.

Completed a NEBOSH qualification through NOSA in 2014.
