Taught four introductory and advanced visual arts courses, including Studio Art Survey, Ceramics & Sculpture, Digital Photography, and Publication Design. Developed curriculum for Studio Art Survey and facilitated the Upper School yearbook using Adobe Illustrator and Jostens’ Yearbook Avenue.

Assisted in identifying potential candidates for Student Chapter elections and supported the election and voting process. Helped with fundraisers and meetings throughout the semester.

Guided students in Art Education courses, helping them understand and complete assignments. Organized and delivered art materials for the Monday Art Enrichment Program, and graded student work providing feedback on live teaching experiences.

Created three original lesson plans based on the KSU exhibition "TEXTURES: the history and art of Black hair." Presented these lesson plans at the 2021 Ohio Art Educators Association (OAEA) Conference.

Served as the Art Education Department representative for the Graduate Student Organization, attending meetings and taking minutes. Shared meeting information and resourceful details with the Graduate student body, acting as a liaison between students and faculty.

Organized and facilitated weekly 4-hour art therapy sessions to help students reduce stress. Collaborated with campus ministry to support students dealing with extenuating circumstances, building relationships to serve as a confidant and mentor.

Organized and implemented two lesson plans per grade level, focusing on 2D drawing and 3D clay lessons. Planned each lesson around the school district’s International Baccalaureate (IB) standards, attending professional development meetings to ensure materials met IB standards and prepared students for MAP tests.

Taught two 10th grade honors drawing classes and three 9th grade Art Exploration classes, including an adapted art class. Collaborated with cooperating teachers to develop challenging lessons meeting International Baccalaureate (IB) program standards.

Collaborated with the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs to develop a Millennial and Generation Z recruitment strategy for academic programs. Developed a new plan to engage university students in the CMA Student Guide Program, gaining exposure to teaching objectives and program development complexities.

Conducted research for the "TEXTURES: the history and art of Black hair" exhibition, focusing on its relation to politics, fine art, fashion, and pop culture. Organized exhibition materials, researched artists, and conducted interviews with Black-owned hair businesses.

Taught 10 students new art processes and techniques, providing materials for a safe and supportive learning environment. Introduced socially transformative lessons to build knowledge of current social issues and emphasized artistic responses.

Taught students overcoming emotional and behavioral challenges, focusing lessons on making personal connections to artworks. Emphasized channeling emotions through various creative processes.

Taught students aged 7-9 lessons based on the themes "Journey" and "Growth." Lessons were designed to help students understand these terms as they relate to art.

Teaches 7th grade iReady math curriculum, developing supplementary lessons and activities for varied instruction. Implements classroom management strategies to provide a safe, healthy, and productive classroom environment, and provides Tier 1, 2, and 3 math intervention.

Pursued a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on Art Education. This advanced degree provided a deeper understanding of pedagogical theories and practices specific to art instruction.

Completed a Bachelor of Arts in Education, specializing in Art Education. The curriculum covered foundational art principles and educational methodologies for teaching art.
