Charles Iroh
@charlesiroh1
Experienced legal researcher and human-rights advocate specializing in safeguarding BAME elders and vulnerable adults.
What I'm looking for
I am an experienced legal researcher and practitioner focused on human rights, elder protection, and safeguarding vulnerable adults across the UK and Nigeria.
I currently support large caseloads within the NHS, improving safeguarding outcomes and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to reduce adverse events for BAME elders.
Previously I led legal research and reform projects in Nigeria, co-authored and simplified gender-based violence legislation, delivered high-impact training to thousands, and managed grant-funded work that saved funds and improved legal understanding.
I combine doctrinal and empirical socio-legal methods with practical advocacy, legislative drafting, and monitoring & evaluation to produce policy-relevant research and culturally responsive protections for marginalized communities.
