What I'm looking for

I'm looking to support diverse K–12 learners through inclusive instruction, literacy intervention, English-language development, special education services, and graduation-focused student support.

I've delivered reading intervention, ESOL English instruction, credit recovery, and graduation support across El Paso Independent School District, helping diverse and at-risk learners strengthen comprehension, fluency, language development, and readiness for graduation.

As an English I Team Leader, I supported curriculum alignment and instructional coaching while collaborating with teachers, counselors, and social workers on individualized student support plans. I use differentiated instruction, SIOP strategies, formative assessment, PBIS, SEL, attendance monitoring, home visits, and Saturday intervention sessions to keep students engaged and progressing.

My experience includes teaching English, math, special education, Spanish, Algebra I, and science in Title I schools and an unaccompanied minors shelter. I also led Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings and provided bilingual support for students, families, and community advocates.

Earlier, I created Lincoln-Douglas debate and extemporaneous speaking curricula in South Korea and coached students for international forensics competitions. I'm bilingual in Spanish and continue to mentor first-year Yale students with advice, grant support, and application feedback.
