Chala Yadeta

I am a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist with 12 years of hands-on experience in hospital laboratory services, quality assurance, and malaria program implementation. I have served as a hospitals laboratory department head and held roles as laboratory quality officer and EQA practitioner.

I have led mentorship, training, and supervision activities for malaria programs and broader laboratory services, and I participate in regional and national laboratory meetings. I have experience developing and reviewing laboratory documents including SOPs, mentorship checklists, and job aids.

I have practical experience conducting baseline assessments and follow-up of hospitals and catchment facilities on malaria and other key performance indicators, and I provide technical assistance for planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

I am proficient with basic computer tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), skilled in team leadership and management, and experienced in preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual plans and reports related to laboratory activities and trainings.
