Carole Gilley
@cgilley
Dynamic writer and editor who blends creativity with analytical structure to empower and represent.
What I'm looking for
I am a dynamic writer, editor, and creator adept at fostering engaging environments and maintaining analytical structure. While trained in liberal arts and creative writing, I am an analytical thinker who believes creativity has a place in numbers and data.
As a 2025 college graduate, I bring strong editorial experience through roles like Poetry Editor for American Weirdo Magazine and near-peer poetry work as a VOX ATL Member, where I organized and led poetry workshops for Metro-Atlanta teenagers. I also contributed to shifting workshop formats to hybrid to increase accessibility and supported lead editing with clerical communications.
I’ve combined education and practical operations through Substitute Teacher work in K-12 settings and a Tax and Payroll Operations Intern role supporting daily administrative and data entry tasks for the team. I’m eager to keep learning and expand my knowledge in every endeavor—creating supportive spaces where people thrive and feel represented.
