Grace Clement
@graceclement
Creative writer with a strong background in media arts.
What I'm looking for
I am a passionate creative writer with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Media Arts and Culture from Occidental College, where I graduated Cum Laude. My academic journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence, as evidenced by my placement on the Dean's Honors List for four semesters. I have honed my writing skills through various roles, including serving as a Staff Writer and Editor for "The Fang," where I pitched, edited, and produced engaging articles for the college's satire magazine.
In addition to my writing experience, I have worked as an intern for the Planning Department at Access Services, where I utilized multiple databases to collect and analyze data on transit agencies. My role involved surveying customers about their experiences and organizing information for strategic planning. I also contributed to the literary community as a Submissions Reader for "december," evaluating poetry and short fiction submissions for publication. My diverse experiences reflect my dedication to both the arts and community service, as demonstrated by my volunteer work at Hagar’s House, a sanctuary for women and children.
