What I'm looking for

I am looking for remote Data Analyst or Business Analyst roles where I can own end-to-end analytics pipelines, work with real business data, and deliver executive-ready dashboards and insights using Power BI, SQL, PostgreSQL, Excel and Powerpoint. I value clear documentation, data quality, and analysis that drives actual decisions.

I'm Carlton Waiti, a Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Specialist based in Nairobi, Kenya, with a BSc in Economics and Finance from Kenyatta University.

My strongest project to date is a 5-page Power BI financial dashboard built on 10 years of Safaricom PLC audited data verified by Ernst & Young, featuring 20 DAX measures, a live PostgreSQL connection, and executive-level financial analysis including IFRS accounting anomaly identification. I also built a full e-commerce analytics pipeline on 100,000 Olist orders using PostgreSQL CTEs, window functions, and Power BI star schema modeling.

Beyond the technical side, I have real-world data collection experience from UNICEF and ILO-backed research initiatives in Nairobi, where I managed field data integrity using KoboToolbox and ODK, and synthesized stakeholder findings into policy-facing analytical reports.

My Economics and Finance background means I understand the business context behind every number. I build dashboards that answer the questions leadership actually asks, not just the ones that are easy to visualize.
