What I'm looking for

I’m looking to grow in roles where I can commercialize distributed and interconnector-focused energy projects, connect structured finance with client execution, and shape energy market design and policy that enables a low-carbon transition.

I’m Burak Guler, PhD—an energy markets and strategy professional focused on accelerating the low-carbon transition through regional electricity hub frameworks, market design, and scalable project development. My Ph.D. in Management Sciences centers on “A Regional Electricity Hub for Energy Transitions,” which continues to shape how I connect policy, infrastructure, and investment priorities.

As Senior Energy as a Services Manager at Foley, Inc. (Caterpillar Dealer), I lead the commercialization of distributed energy projects for commercial and industrial clients—owning deal pipeline management from lead generation to financial close. I build front-of-meter and behind-the-meter natural gas project pipelines in the PJM / NY ISO footprint, develop structured project finance packages, and guide client engagement from concept through technical design, commercial negotiation, and contract execution.

Since 2019, I’ve also been the Principal and Founder of One Universe Energy LLC, where I help governments, markets, and industry stakeholders form “Regional Energy Hubs” aligned with the Paris Accord. Earlier roles across energy trading, consulting, research, and teaching—plus leadership experiences including Director, Manager, and Senior Researcher—give me a rare breadth spanning trading execution, investment strategy, and energy policy and economics.
