What I'm looking for

I’m looking to keep building and validating analytical instruments and methods—designing testing, troubleshooting hardware/software defects, transferring methods, and translating complex analytical data into solutions that meet quality standards and customer needs.

I design and run verification and validation testing for new GC-MS instrument prototypes on Agilent Technologies’ GC-MS hardware R&D team. I also support root cause analysis and propose remedies for field escalations tied to customer hardware performance or failure.

At L’Oréal, I analyzed raw materials, formulas, and finished products using spectroscopy, microscopy, and chromatography methods including GC-FID, GC-MSD, and comprehensive 2D GC with TOFMS. I quantified analytes for safety, regulatory, claims, non-OTC chemical stability, and competitor product analysis, and used chemometric models for classification, prediction, and deconvolution.

I’ve managed ELN and LIMS workflows as a functional administrator and key user for IDBS E-WorkBook and LabWare—handling permissions, templates, and training to improve local sample workflow and data integrity. I also maintained the GC area of the analytical lab, including instruments, service contracts, repairs, inventory, and scientific management for student co-ops, interns, and other scientists.

Earlier, at the University of Washington, I worked in the Synovec lab on instrumentation and software development with GC x GC–TOFMS and advanced chemometrics. I also supported students as a Graduate Teaching Assistant across chemistry and separation science courses, helping with labs, exams, office hours, and course materials.
