What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role in medical translation and remote interpretation where clinical accuracy, patient confidentiality, and culturally appropriate communication are essential, and where I can support telehealth workflows while helping patients fully understand their care.

I’m a medical doctor and a specialized English-Amharic medical translator and interpreter. I combine advanced English proficiency with native Amharic to help patients understand complex clinical information clearly and accurately.

Across my medical training and hospital internship experience, I’ve interpreted and translated diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, procedures, and test results for Amharic-speaking patients and their families. I focus on accurate clinical terminology and culturally appropriate explanations so people can make informed decisions about their care.

I’m experienced with remote interpretation workflows in telehealth environments, including Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI). I approach sensitive conversations with strong listening, memory retention, and careful note-taking to support precision in both spoken interpretation and written medical translation.

I take confidentiality, ethics, and professional communication seriously. With HIPAA compliance training and a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and medical ethics, I serve as a reliable bridge between healthcare teams and patients—especially where language access determines understanding and outcomes.
