Aspiring cybersecurity professional with hands-on experience in threat detection.
What I'm looking for
As an aspiring cybersecurity professional, I bring hands-on experience in SIEM, vulnerability management, and threat detection. My military background as a veteran has equipped me with strong leadership skills and the ability to perform under pressure. I am skilled in using industry-standard tools such as Qualys, Splunk, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework, which I have applied in various projects and internships.
Currently, I am an IT Network Security Intern at DP World, where I utilize Qualys VMDR to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities in firewalls and collaborate with my network team to implement effective patching strategies. My previous experience as a Cavalry Scout in the U.S. Army National Guard has instilled in me the importance of security and operational integrity, further enhancing my capabilities in cybersecurity.
I am passionate about continuous learning and development in the field of cybersecurity, as evidenced by my ongoing education in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at Western Governors University. I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to a dynamic team focused on protecting information systems and enhancing security measures.
