Benard Mpanga

I’m a motivated Computer Science student at Uganda Christian University, focused on becoming a Network & Cloud Engineer. I’m driven by hands-on learning and by turning research and practice into efficient, reliable technology solutions with real-world impact.

Right now, I’m pursuing undergraduate research on predictive auto-scaling in cloud systems. I’m designing a two-layer cost-aware predictive model that blends external demand signals (like app downloads and social media) with live server metrics, and I’m evaluating ARIMA and LSTM forecasting under realistic user growth scenarios.

I’m also actively building my technical foundation through certifications and coursework, including CompTIA Network+, AWS Cloud Essentials, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam prep, and multiple AI/GenAI learning tracks. I’m currently working on Cisco CCNA networking fundamentals as well, while applying strong problem-solving habits and critical thinking to every new concept I learn.

In my experience, I’ve supported real operations through IT Assistant & Bookkeeper work at Buyaya Technical Services, where I managed bookkeeping with Excel, reconciled financial transactions, verified inventory computations against physical stock counts, and resolved data entry errors. I’ve complemented this with software work—like a team Python budget tracker using OOP—so I can connect practical engineering with trustworthy system behavior.
