Barigit Rau

I’m a motivated Environmental Science student with a strong foundation in remote sensing, data analysis, and visual documentation. I focus on using geospatial technologies and photography to analyze and communicate environmental data effectively, with a clear commitment to sustainability and environmental monitoring.

In my current role as a Plant Mounter at the Rocky Mountain Herbarium, University of Wyoming, I prepare specimens and follow established laboratory protocols. I maintain accurate documentation and data collection standards, operate and maintain specialized equipment, and ensure quality control in specimen handling and processing.

Previously, I served as an Office Aide at the University of Wyoming, where I maintained organized workspaces, supported technical staff with routine administrative tasks, and transported materials between departments. I also worked as Support Staff at Evanston Child Development Center, demonstrating responsibility, attention to detail, and strong adherence to clean and safe work areas.

Through my coursework—such as Survey of Remote Sensing Applications, Geographic Information Systems, and UAS Data Acquisitions and Processing—I’ve built practical foundations for working with environmental datasets. I’m eager to apply my technical and analytical skills in real-world settings through internships and professional opportunities.
