Jasmine Duran

I am a GIS-focused environmental scientist with hands-on experience in spatial analysis, cartography, and urban forestry. I combine technical GIS coursework and applied projects with practical field work to support environmental stewardship and urban greening initiatives.

My academic training includes suitability analysis, remote sensing, geodatabase management, and publication-quality map design using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS. I have cleaned and joined spatial datasets, performed raster and vector analyses, and applied land-use classification techniques to satellite imagery.

In the field, I have supported urban forestry by propagating and maintaining native tree species, performing planting and pruning, and engaging communities to promote tree care practices. I am detail-oriented, able to work independently or on teams, and committed to producing accurate spatial products that inform environmental decision-making.
