Aurialis Alvarez
@aurialisalvarez
Sustainability strategist and published climate researcher translating ESG and policy evidence into equity-centered climate resilience decisions.
What I'm looking for
I’m a sustainability strategist and published climate researcher with 7+ years across ESG, CSR, equity-centered communications, and policy. I translate interdisciplinary literature and field data into decision-oriented materials for senior stakeholders and community partners.
At Cornell University, I lead structured qualitative analysis on climate risk exposure among aging populations across New York State through an equity-centered framework, identifying policy and service delivery gaps. Previously, at Columbia University, I co-designed a comparative evaluation framework for institutional climate risk exposure and adaptive capacity across 25 countries.
My work also bridges strategy with measurable emissions and supply-chain action. In my M.S. capstone, I conducted materiality assessment and peer benchmarking to identify Scope 3 emissions priorities, diagnosed limitations of spend-based GHG accounting, and recommended a supplier-hybrid approach—co-developing supplier engagement protocols and emissions monitoring infrastructure.
I’ve also built momentum through high-impact programs and communications: as an Associate with Goldman Sachs (10,000 Small Businesses via ICIC), I advised and assessed 350+ SMEs annually and produced executive-ready decision-support materials. Earlier, I led climate content and campaigns at Ocean Uprise x Parley for the Oceans and founded Nanichi, developing circular-economy-based research and TRL 7 prototypes for luxury-adjacent resort wear.
