What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a senior data engineering role where I can lead lakehouse development and migrations (Databricks/DBT), own ingestion and transformation pipelines, and collaborate with engineering teams to scale reliable data platforms.

I’m a Bachelor of Computer Science (National University of Engineering) and I bring 11 years of experience, with 7 years in data and 4 as a Programmer Analyst. I’ve worked at the intersection of system development and data engineering, so I’m comfortable managing the full lifecycle—from building reliable pipelines to deploying and operating data platforms.

In my recent role as Sr Data Engineer, I create and maintain data models with DBT, Databricks, and Asset Bundles, including migrating DBT models from Snowflake to Databricks Unity Catalog. I also manage ingestion pipelines with Prefect, focusing on clean workflows, maintainability, and safe operational changes.

Previously at Yape and Sweatworks, I delivered migration and transformation workflows across major cloud and warehouse environments—building pipelines in Azure Datafactory and Databricks, automating deployments with Jenkins, and developing lakehouse infrastructure with GitHub Actions. I’ve also supported Snowflake administration, orchestrated jobs with Airflow, and migrated data from on-premise Oracle to Snowflake using Docker, Python scripts, and AWS infrastructure, while still using strong software engineering fundamentals from my earlier Java/SQL-based background.
