Astan Tarba

I’m an English Language Teaching student and current English Language Teacher, focused on communicative proficiency, grammar accuracy, and learner engagement. I design and adapt lesson plans to match individual and group learning goals, and I track development through regular assessments.

In my Erasmus Student Buddy role in Eskişehir, I supported international students with socio-cultural integration and administrative onboarding in Turkey. I acted as a bridge between students and university services, ensuring smooth communication and helping resolve transition-period challenges through effective interpersonal communication.

My studies strengthen both teaching and global perspective. At Anadolu University, I build a foundation in English linguistics (morphology, phonetics, sociolinguistics) alongside modern teaching methodologies, lesson planning, and classroom management, including remote and in-person instruction using educational technologies and AI-driven tools for language learning.

I’m also developing intercultural and multidisciplinary insight through an Erasmus+ exchange at Kodolányi János University, where I explored Soft Diplomacy and the theory and practice of diplomacy. With advanced Turkish through Anadolu University TÖMER (B2), I support cross-cultural communication and linguistic integration in real learning and community settings.
