Arzaq Auffer

I’m a cybersecurity undergraduate at the University of Staffordshire with hands-on experience across vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and network security. I focus on turning security knowledge into working, real-world solutions—especially where evidence and repeatable methods matter.

I’ve built a custom 10-challenge CTF platform covering web security, cryptography, steganography, container security, and binary exploitation. I also documented deployments and walkthroughs, and used a Docker-based containerised environment to ensure isolated and reproducible challenge instances.

On the analytics side, I performed Splunk threat hunting and incident analysis on BOTS v1 and BOTS v3 datasets using advanced SPL queries. I reconstructed full attack timelines, identified adversary TTPs, and mapped findings to the MITRE ATT&CK framework—so my work doesn’t just detect issues, it explains them.

Across projects, I’ve applied Zero Trust architecture and Secure by Design principles, implemented network segmentation and access control models, and produced risk-management-aligned recommendations. I’m also developing strong defensive fundamentals through incident response, log analysis, IDS/IPS concepts, and Linux administration with Bash scripting and system hardening.
