What I'm looking for
I am an accomplished polymer chemist and materials scientist with 14 years of experience in advanced materials R&D, sustainable polymers, and water treatment technologies. I have held three Canadian postdoctoral positions and nine years as a chemistry professor, publishing 19+ peer-reviewed papers and supervising 15+ student projects.
My technical strengths include controlled radical polymerization (ATRP family), stimuli-responsive hydrogels, membrane technology (forward osmosis), and scale-up of emulsion polymerization to pilot production. I have secured $60K+ in competitive research funding, led multi-institution collaborations, and translated lab concepts into functional prototypes such as FO desalination units and pilot papermaking from agricultural waste.
I bring a product-development mindset, strong analytical skills (GPC, NMR, FT-IR, DSC, TGA, SEM, AFM), and experience working with industrial partners to deliver commercially relevant materials and processes.
