What I'm looking for

I’m looking to lead applied computer vision and AI/ML research that bridges experimental models into production-ready, real-world systems—valuing robustness, multimodal sensing, and rigorous evaluation.

I’m a passionate researcher, in love with science and engineering across many disciplines. With over 15 years of research experience in computer vision and machine learning algorithms, I enjoy solving challenging problems and creating innovative solutions for both academia and industry.

As a Founding AI/ML Research Scientist (Self-Employed), I design and deliver research-driven AI systems for multi-modal edge intelligence. I architect scalable AI solutions for identity and verification systems, with emphasis on robustness, liveness, and real-world deployment constraints, and I lead end-to-end ML systems from data acquisition to model deployment and evaluation.

Previously, I served as a Research Manager at UBITECH, where I organized and led work package tasks in H2020 EU Data Science/Machine Learning projects. I contributed to original research conceptualisation across data analysis, statistics, multimodal systems, and agentic AI meta-learning, while managing planning, monitoring, and coordination across the consortium.

I’ve also led computer vision research and engineering across real-world, multi-viewpoint video surveillance and biometric document-face verification. Across roles at DARVIS and Huawei Ireland Research Center, I developed and optimized state-of-the-art models, collaborated with product and annotation teams, and delivered research planning, technical reports, and scientific documentation.
