Ariana Acosta

I’m a software engineering student at Western Governors University, focused on building reliable applications that solve real problems. I bring a strong mix of analytical problem-solving and real-world operational experience gained in a fast-paced environment.

Through my technical projects, I’ve built and integrated full-stack features end-to-end. In my Vacation Booking Application, I designed a full-stack Java Spring Boot + Angular solution, implemented RESTful APIs for customer management, vacation packages, checkout, and order tracking, and used JPA/Hibernate for persistence and backend validation.

I also strengthened my backend and deployment skills with the Landon Hotel Application by implementing English and French localization and containerizing the application using Docker. I’ve practiced concepts like multithreading, secure coding, software testing, JSON serialization, and integration debugging across API endpoints and full-stack connections.

In my current role at Zappos, I analyze real-time operational data to support workforce planning and service-level performance. I investigate issues, identify root causes, recommend data-driven solutions, and create documentation and training materials to standardize processes across teams—while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
