I’m a Chemical Engineer with over 4 years of experience in the UK water industry, specializing in wastewater operations, SCADA systems, telemetry analysis, alarm optimisation and operational intelligence. I turn operational data into actionable insights that help improve asset performance, incident response, and regulatory compliance.

In my role as Alarm Optimisation Specialist / Central Process Optimiser (Wastewater) at Yorkshire Water, I analysed SCADA, telemetry, and operational data to improve wastewater network, pumping station, and treatment asset performance in a highly regulated environment. I led alarm optimisation activities to reduce alarm noise, improve alarm quality, and strengthen the effectiveness of 24/7 control room operations, while investigating operational incidents and performance issues using root cause analysis and continuous improvement. I also produced performance reports and dashboards, monitored trends and risks through SCADA and telemetry, and developed automated reporting tools using Microsoft Excel and VBA.

Currently, I’m in Spain building further specialist depth through professional development and completing a Master’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
