During my tenure as a Nurse Interviewer for the LePHIA 2016-2017 Study led by ICAP Lesotho, I conducted face-to-face interviews with participants, utilizing ODK software for data collection. This experience allowed me to contribute valuable insights to HIV research and public health initiatives. Subsequently, at Khotla Health Center under Jhpiego Lesotho, I served as both a Clinical Nurse and VMMC Nurse, providing comprehensive care to patients with diverse medical conditions such as diabetes, Gout, HIV, Hypertension, and various sexually transmitted infections. My responsibilities extended to performing circumcision procedures, administering pre-operative care, and delivering post-operative support and follow-up services. Transitioning to community-based healthcare, I assumed the role of a Community PrEP Nurse at Jhpiego Lesotho, where I led HIV Testing and Counseling services for diverse demographic groups, including adolescent girls and young women, commercial sex workers, men who have sex with men, and the general population. I also played a crucial role in promoting family planning methods, prescribing PrEP to eligible clients, and identifying and supporting individuals experiencing gender-based violence. Concurrently, I embarked on a fulfilling journey as a Health and Wellness Coach, leveraging social media platforms like Facebook to share health-related insights and advice, and providing personalized coaching services to individuals seeking guidance on their wellness journey.
