Annabel Mumba

I’m a communications professional with over six years of experience leading strategic communications, advocacy campaigns, stakeholder engagement, media relations, and digital communications within the nonprofit sector. I build communication strategies that strengthen public engagement through storytelling and evidence-based messaging, while keeping brand identity consistent across channels.

At Amos Youth Centre, I lead communications and stakeholder engagement for education, youth development, disability inclusion, entrepreneurship, and community development programmes. I develop annual and campaign-specific communication strategies, manage press releases, blogs, newsletters, feature stories, speeches, reports, and donor communication materials, and coordinate communication for donor visits, partnership launches, and advocacy campaigns.

My digital communications work includes managing Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, creating monthly content calendars, monitoring analytics, and producing performance reports. I’ve produced 144 published blogs over six years and improved Facebook results—159,300 content views, 38,200 audience reach, 3,400 engagements, a 40.6% increase in content views, a 36.8% increase in followers, a 200% increase in messaging enquiries, and a 233% increase in conversations initiated.

I’m especially motivated by using communications to amplify youth voices and influence positive change, and I bring that ethos to community outreach, partnership engagement, and internal mentoring. I mentor young people in communications, content creation, storytelling, and professional writing, and I strengthen my practice with SEO and content-writing certifications, copywriting for conversations training, and virtual assistance skills.
