What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can apply Python/R analytics and machine learning to climate or agrifood problems—combining rigorous research, clear visualization, and real-world impact, with opportunities to grow into more responsible data and model ownership.

I am a Junior Research Assistant at the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS), supporting the center of Environment and Climate Change under supervision while assisting research-based policy making and data analysis using Python, R, and Excel. I also participated in a Data Analysis Training Program and bring a strong research mindset to turning complex questions into structured analysis.

Alongside research, I build end-to-end data products: I analyzed Nepal’s climate data across 62 districts with Tableau, integrated climate patterns with agriculture to support environmental and agricultural decision-making, and co-authored a LaTeX documentation manual to make the work reusable. I’ve also developed applications (Flutter + Firebase; Flutter + Django + MySQL) and integrated machine learning such as a fine-tuned Wav2Vec2 model for speech recognition—always aiming to deliver clear insights, reliable workflows, and actionable results.

Junior Research Assistant

Supported the Institute for Integrated Development Studies’ Environment and Climate Change center with research contributing to policy making. Conducted data analysis using Python, R, Excel, and Stata and assisted on projects modeling climate/agri impacts and assessing domestic trade costs using geospatial tools and routing.
