Angela Colangelo

I’m a highly motivated, hard-working, and goal-driven nursing graduate, confident in adapting quickly to changing environments and diverse patient needs. I focus on providing effective patient care by combining communication, interpersonal skills, and strong organization with evidence-based practice.

I’m completing both an ADN and a BSN, with recent recognition including Dean’s List, the National Society of Leadership and Success, and a California Arthur & Millicent Gabriel Nursing Scholarship. I’m also maintaining essential clinical credentials, including BLS certification.

In my Registered Nurse roles in Acute Surgical Oncology, I deliver compassionate, detail-oriented care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. I manage medical devices and complex post-surgical needs such as surgical drains, wound and drain care, urinary catheters, and tube management (including NG, Dobhoff, and nephrostomy tubes), while protecting patient safety through infection prevention and precise clinical documentation.

I’ve strengthened my clinical confidence through additional Acute Surgical Oncology unit experience at UPMC Mercy, including daily wound care, medication-focused patient safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration for complex cases. Outside of clinical training, I’ve brought reliability and team-mindedness to childcare work and stayed engaged through professional organization membership and volunteer activities.
