Andrew Davis

Digital Accessibility Specialist combining WCAG/508 expertise with legislative research to deliver compliant learning platforms.
What I'm looking for
I’m a detail-oriented digital accessibility professional focused on “accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards, Section 508, and ADA requirements.” I bridge technical testing with clear communication, research, and remediation so teams can ship usable educational and digital media.
Most recently, I developed databases tracking Federal and State accessibility laws and analyzed and communicated education-related regulations across departments to ensure compliance. I managed accessibility guidance for PowerPoints, eBooks, and Teacher Resource Systems by implementing Color Contrast, Text Size, Alt Text, PDF Tags, and Screen Reader adaptability.
I build practical remediation playbooks and verification workflows—developing Accessibility Guides for PowerPoint and Microsoft Word, and supporting American Sign Language and Screen Reader testing. I collaborate with QA teams to ensure consistency between print and digital resources, validating alt text, captions, and video transcripts using tools like ANDI, Duque Ax Tools, Wave, and JAWS.
Before accessibility work, I strengthened my research and policy foundation as a Legislative Researcher and Policy Associate for the U.S. House Appropriations Committee and veteran-focused organizations, producing white papers under deadline. I’m IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), and I also run Popanimecomics, where I publish and host interviews and podcasts.
